Somatic Coaching · with Jilly

A quiet room to stop holding it all together.

Body-based support for sensitive, high-functioning people who have spent too long on alert — and are ready to feel safer in themselves, rebuild self-trust, and live with clearer boundaries.

What is somatic coaching?

A body-based practice that works with your nervous system, not just your thoughts. Through breath, sensation, and gentle awareness, we help patterns of tension, overwhelm, and over-functioning soften — so you can live from a steadier, more grounded place.

For you, if —

The point where insight is no longer enough.

You have intellectualised your challenges. You know the ‘why’. But your nervous system hasn’t received the message yet. You still feel tight, compressed, or fundamentally disconnected from your own vitality.

The Shift

  • Regulation of the nervous system
  • Authentic, embodied presence
  • Moving with less effort
The work

Body-based coaching

Somatic coaching is the practice of working directly with the living body. Most coaching stays in the realm of goals and cognitive shifts. This work goes deeper, addressing the posture of your life — the literal way you hold yourself in the face of pressure, conflict, and transition. Sessions may involve breath, sensation, subtle movement, voice, posture, and the practical integration of boundaries into daily life.

01 · in session

Practical integration

We use breath, movement, and postural awareness to shift internal states in real time — not as technique, but as a way of remembering how to inhabit yourself.

02 · in life

Nervous system literacy

Understanding your specific patterns of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn — and learning, slowly, how to return to centre on your own.

About

Sensitivity as a gift, not a curse.

Portrait of Jilly

My deepest passion is helping people move out of chronic activation and return to self-trust. Embracing sensitivity as a gift, not a curse, is at the heart of my work.

Born in China, raised in Canada, and shaped by adult life between London and New York, I became a master shape-shifter: good at reading the room, adapting, and appearing “normal” enough to belong.

I first chased beauty and glamour in the art world, then ambition, money, and security in fintech and product management. Achieving both showed me that external success means little when I do not feel safe or at home in my body.

Somatic work became personal before professional. To me, it means learning to listen to the body and the patterns that keep us on alert.

My approach is client-led, honest, and body-based. I am not here to advise, diagnose, or fix you.

I have completed 150+ hours of somatic training, am working toward ICF credentialing, and have spent 300+ hours in my own therapeutic and reflective self-work.

I work with sensitive, capable people who are tired of performing okay.

Our work is 1:1, conducted online, usually over a series of months. Sessions are unhurried and practical. We move at the speed of your nervous system — slow enough to notice, steady enough to evolve.

Between sessions, you carry small, embodied practices into your everyday life. Nothing performative; nothing that asks you to add another thing to manage.
